Books I Didn't Get To In 2020

Happy Tuesday, bookworms!

I hope you're all safe and healthy. Today's Top Ten Tuesday prompt asks us about the books we did not get a chance to read in 2020. For the most part, I've managed to read the books that I was anticipating, but a few did slip the crack. Unfortunately, time is my worst enemy when it comes to reading. I do hope I'll get to these 10 books this year.

The Lord I Left by Scarlett Peckham
I have loved everything that Scarlett Peckham. This series of hers, in particular, is one that is at the top of my favorite historical romances of all time. A lot of my friends who have read it have enjoyed it, so I know I'll have a good time with it.

Though this series is a big hit in romancelandia, I was not the biggest fan of the first book. I thought it was quite hefty and violent. I still want to give this companion a shot though because it has one of my favorite tropes: second chance romance. I've been told this will work better for me.

I enjoyed the first book in this series a lot and was excited for Dragon Unleashed, but somehow the release date passed and I still hadn't read it. Boo!

This is another series that I'm a big fan of. For some reason, I still haven't picked up Chaos Reigning, the series finale. I think I'm going to binge-read the series again. It's one I love and has so many great romantic tropes in a sci-fi setting.

The Switch by Beth O'Leary
I was pleasantly surprised by Beth O'Leary's Flatshare. It was adorable and charming, so I was excited to read the author's sophomore novel. It does sound a little different, but I've heard good things.

Island Affair by Priscilla Oliveras
Priscilla Oliveras is an author I admire because she writes about family bonds so beautifully. I'm also in love with the cover of Island Affair, so I'm excited to pick this book up!

The Iron Will of Genie Lo by F.C Yee
The Epic Crush of Genie Lo was such a fun and entertaining YA UF. I was pumped for the release of this book, and yet again, it slipped my mind and I never ended up getting to it.

Fearless by Katie Golding
I remember being intrigued by this one because the heroine is a biker/racer. I don't think I've ever read a book with a racer heroine so I definitely still want to read this.

Forbidden Promises by Synithia Williams
I wanted to read this one because that cover is stunning! Two of my book friends, Jazmen and Jenica, really enjoyed this one, so I know I will love it too!

More Than Maybe by Erin Hahn
I don't read a lot of YA these days, but I do still like to look into YA contemporary romances because there are some very good ones out there. More Than Maybe appealed to me because of Deanna's review. I think I have an ARC from ALAMW - I need to check!
