Happy Tuesday, bookworms!
I hope you're all doing okay. Today's Top Ten Tuesday prompt is "New-to-Me Authors I Read in 2020". I read lots of new authors last year including several debuts, for this list, I thought I'd focus on newly read authors who already have a backlist. I'm not showcasing every new author I tried, just the ones that I enjoyed and whose books I will be going back to in the future.
Kate Canterbary
I read Underneath it All by Kate Canterbary and though it wasn't what I would call a favorite romance, I enjoyed the writing so much and I know I will be reading more from the author in the future. The author has a large backlist - this series itself is like 9 books long!
Danielle Allen
I read Danielle Allen thanks to Ari's book pushing. I read three books by her last year: Work Song, Sweatpants Season, and Truth or Dare. All 3 books were chemistry-filled and a whole lot of fun! She is an author who I've added to my auto-read list! :)
Chloe Liese
Chloe Liese is my favorite author discovery of 2020! I loved loved loved her Bergman Brothers books so much. She writes some of the most heartfelt romance novels and I love her writing!
Jeannie Lin
I read my first book by Jeannie Lin, The Hidden Moon, thanks to Aarya's raves. I immediately fell in love with Lin's writing and I am determined to read her backlist at some point this year.
Rilzy Adams
Last year, Twitter helped me discover Rilzy Adams' books. I am so happy to have read her books because her stories are pure fun. I love that I can dive into her books and have a good laugh. I read Go Deep, Birthday Shot, and ATE, and all 3 were a riot!
Fiona West
I picked up a Fiona West randomly one day while scrolling Kindle Unlimited and oh my gosh! I can't believe I hadn't read her books before. Could Be Something was such a lovely and warm read. There was something very cozy about her writing style, so I will most definitely be exploring her backlist!
Stella Rhys
If I'm remembering correctly, Stella Rhys' book was among the first books I read in 2020. They are sexy contemporary romances that are very easy to eat up! I read Hothead and Dirty Deeds and enjoyed both!
