Hiatus Announcement

Monday, December 14, 2020

Hi, friends!

I wasn't sure if I was going to do this, but after looking at my sad backlog of books waiting to be reviewed, I've decided to take a short 2-week hiatus. I'm going to use this time to write some reviews and to take it easy.  know around the holidays, my blog's viewership tends to go down since everyone is busy, so I think this is a good move.  I'll be back the week after Christmas to share with you my 2020 favorites - I'm thinking I may spread it over a few days since I read so many great books this year. I'll still be fairly active on Twitter so be sure to follow me if you'll miss me too much. :D

Before I leave, I wanted to share this holiday drive that Andrea at Shelf Love Podcast is hosting. The idea is to help make someone's holiday by purchasing something from their wishlists. If you have the financial means, I encourage you to participate. You can find more details here.

I hope you all have a lovely and relaxing holiday with your loved ones. Don't forget to take any safety precautions since the pandemic is still raging its terror.

If The Boot Fits by Rebekah Weatherspoon

IF THE BOOT FITS

by Rebekah Weatherspoon
Series: Cowboys of California #2
Genres: Contemporary, Romance, Adult
Publisher: Kensington Publishing
Publication Date: October 27th 2020
Source: ARC received for review
Star Quotient: ★★★★
Kiss Factor: ✷✷✷✷

I'm really enjoying my venture into Rebekah Weatherspoon's books. This is only my second read from her, but I'm a fan, and in the new year, I hope to read her backlist. I think it says a lot about an author's stories and writing style when they are able to get you to like a trope that you're not a fan of. In this case, Rebekah Weatherspoon has clearly worked her magic on the cowboy trope because after reading A Cowboy to Remember, I couldn't wait to read If The Boot Fits. I'm thrilled that this was equally a success for me.

Your Ultimate Guide To 2021 South Asian Adult Fiction

Monday, December 7, 2020

Hello, all!

I'm thrilled to share with you a list of 2021 South Asian Adult fiction books. I want to preface by stating that the idea for this database came entirely from Mishma at Chasing Faerytales. She reached out to me about a month ago seeking some help with the romance category. Mish had already worked on a South Asian YA catalog which is now live on her website as well as an upcoming MG catalog. Since I love making a good list, I helped Mish out with the romance titles and agreed to host the adult titles on my blog. Today, I'm excited to share that list with you all.

HOW TO CATCH A QUEEN

by Alyssa Cole
Series: Runaway Royals #1
Genres: Contemporary, Romance, Adult
Publisher: Avon
Publication Date: December 1st 2020
Source: ARC received for review
Star Quotient: ★★★★
Kiss Factor: ✷✷✷✷

Alyssa Cole is one of my favorite authors and her Reluctant Royals series sits at the top of my top romance series of all time. Though I was sad to see it end, I was excited when Runaway Royals, a spinoff series, was announced. How to Catch a Queen felt different than the books in the Reluctant Royals, which made it a fresh experience.
