Top Ten Tuesday (25): Hungry Books

Happy Tuesday, bookworms!

Today's Top Ten Tuesday is "Books That Made Me Hungry". I love books that feature food, especially, romance novels that center around food. I'm not exactly sure what it is about them, but maybe it's just because I love food a little too much? Anyways, I had fun compiling this list of 10 (jk 11) books that had memorable food items.

Take a look!

I recently read this one and the two protagonists both own food trucks.

Another romance with a food truck owner main character!

Gahh! This book made me so hungry. Saira's grandmother makes the most delicious Indian food and the descriptions had my mouth watering.

This was a short story set on a cooking competition where a chef is paired with a celebrity. I loved the setting and the food sounded A+++!

Though this book didn't necessarily make me hungry, the main couple has a bit of a hate-to-love thing going on because of their fight over a day-old stale biscotti at a cafe they both frequent.

Peaches are a big part of this story, so I had to feature it!

I've never had Brazilian food before, but this book definitely made me realize that I'm seriously missing out.

Amira, the main character, makes a mean chai! I remember almost being able to smell the delicious spices and tea while reading the description in the book.

Evie, the main character, is a renowned chef who loses her memory. As part of her healing process, she goes back to the woman who taught her all her cooking skills.

I asked my friend Lisa for suggestions for this topic and she mentioned Jackie Lau's A Match Made for Thanksgiving. Her reasoning is "It’s memorable for me bc I googled Nanaimo bars and wtf they look so good???"

I had to look up what they are and yum! They sound delicious! They are no-bake Canadian bars with layers of wafer, nut and coconut crumb base, custard filling, and chocolate ganache.

A lot of Laura Florand's books are centered around chocolatiers and omg, I dare you to not feel hungry while reading her books!
