Ari has been harassing me to pick up Work Song because she knows how much I enjoy workplace romances. Well, 10000 years later, I finally got around to reading the book and what do you know: Ari was right and I loved every minute of this super fun romance.

If you've been reading this blog for a while you know that Sandhya Menon easily became one of my favorite authors of all-time with her debut release. She writes these love stories about desi people who look just like me. I have yet to be disappointed by any book by her and I was so eager to read 10 Things I Hate About Pinky. This opposites-attract/fake-dating romance was just the sweetest and most heart-felt book.

This book! THIS BOOK! I didn't know just how much I needed Boyfriend Material in my life until I read it. Now, I foresee myself reading this every year. It's the sort of witty love story that leaves you with a stupid grin on your face throughout the entire thing and leaves you bathing in a pool of all the swoony and cozy feelings. I freaking loved every moment of it!

I read Spin the Dawn, a creative tale of Mulan meets Project Runway, last year and I loved every moment of it. Obviously, I was very keen on reading the sequel to get back with Maia, Edan, and Maia's magical scissors. While for me Unravel the Dusk did not hold a torch to the first book, this is still a series that I will solidly include in my all-time favorites list.

Oh, man! Daring and the Duke was so so good! Most fans of this series have been highly anticipating this book in particular because Ewan and Grace have such a tumultuous history together. For me, this book was everything I was hoping for them and I'm so pleased with how Sarah MacLean handled Ewan's redemption!

I've been wanting to pick up Wicked Fox for a while now but haven't been in the right mood for it. I finally read it a few weeks ago. While it was an overall pleasant reading experience, I have to admit to not finding the book to be the most memorable. That's okay though because not everything I read has to be memorable.

I'm terribly behind on reviewing these books, but better late than never. I think pretty much everyone knows that I'm not a fan of musicians/celebrities/famous people in books. I do love Ainslie Paton though, so I had to read this series. Phew, these books were so hot! One Kiss From The King of Rock was all about the kissing and let me tell you, it was hot. The way Ainslie Paton wrote these scenes were a work of art. Low-key, I was feeling very hot and flustered!

Aww, man! A Song of Wraiths & Ruin was so enjoyable, I did not want it to end. I've had my eyes on this book mostly because that cover is impossible to look away from. When I found out that the two main characters were trying to kill each other, I just knew I had to pick it up ASAP. I mean, it was total romance-ship worthy material, so I had to! The book was everything that I could ask of a solid YA fantasy!

What a delight this book was! I don't usually read books about cowboys, but Jenica at Fire Whiskey Reader convinced me to check A Cowboy to Remember out from the library with all her praise and I'm so glad I listened to her. While the romance was charming, it was the family dynamics, the characters, and the friendships that made this book a memorable experience for me.

Just A Heartbeat Away by Cara Bastone

Just a Heartbeat Away is one of my favorite romantic debuts of 2020. While I initially picked up the book because of the most adorable puppy on the cover, it quietly managed to sneak up on my heart and ran away with it. I don't know what it is with me and painfully slow-burn romances, but I find myself constantly devouring this trope. In Just a Heartbeat Away, not only is the slow-burn trope penned with a lot of heart, but we are gifted with two additional tropes: single-dad and age-gap. As those are all favorite tropes of mine, you could say that I was in romance heaven while reading this book!
