What Has Nick Been Watching (2)

Happy Wednesday, friends!

I hope you're having an excellent week. I'm back with another non-book related post for the week. I'm sharing some of the shows and movies I've watched recently. I'd love to hear about what you've been watching too in the comments below! :)

Elite - Season 2

★★★1/2
After loving the first season of Elite last year, I was so eager to watch the second season when it released. I managed to watch all the episodes in a few days, but I wasn't as invested in it as I was the first season. I think it's mostly because most of the main mystery was revealed to the viewer at the end of the season finale. I did really like the surprising new ship that emerged as well as my OTP, Nadia and Guzman. Some things though, I could have done without. For example, the incest plot. I also disliked Cayetana, one of the new characters introduced. She was like a cheap version of Jenny Humphrey. Also, that ending was SO FRUSTRATING. I'm still looking forward to the next season, but I really hope we move beyond Marina's murder.

Four Weddings and a Funeral

Four Weddings and a Funeral (2019)

This was all-around very charming mini-series. I enjoyed all of the characters, even when they were being very whiny - looking at you, Duffy! There was something about the writing and screenplay that worked for me. It had that perfect balance of rom-com feels and drama. I highly recommend this one!

Stranger Things - Season 3

Winona Ryder, David Harbour, Maya Hawke, Natalia Dyer, Andrey Ivchenko, Dacre Montgomery, Caleb McLaughlin, Sadie Sink, Millie Bobby Brown, Finn Wolfhard, Charlie Heaton, Joe Keery, Noah Schnapp, Gaten Matarazzo, and Priah Ferguson in Stranger Things (2016)

I finally got around to watching the third season of Stranger Things and wow, it was excellent! I wasn't the biggest fan of the second season, but was looking forward to watching this third season because my sister was raving about it. I loved the spooky aspects as well as the friendship. I also really loved the character development, but I have to say, I FEEL VERY ATTACKED BY THE ENDING! Can't wait for the 4th season!

Men in Black: International

Liam Neeson, Emma Thompson, Tim Blaney, Chris Hemsworth, Tessa Thompson, and Kumail Nanjiani in Men in Black: International (2019)

Oh, this was such a fun movie! I watched it on my flight to Seattle, and it was all kinds of entertaining. Tessa Thompson & Chris Hemsworth have such great chemistry.

Isn't It Romantic

Rebel Wilson in Isn't It Romantic (2019)

★★★
Another movie watched on a flight! I liked this one okay. I feel like Rebel Wilson tries to pinhole herself into similar roles which can get old very fast. I mean the movie was enjoyable, but not something I'd watch again. I adored Adam Devine as always though.

On the Basis of Sex

Felicity Jones in On the Basis of Sex (2018)

★★★★1/2
LOVED this one! I wanted to see the movie when it released but it didn't play in any theaters near me. I got to watch it on one of my flights and it was incredible. RBG's journey truly is amazing and I think Felicity Jones did a beautiful job at playing her. And Armie Hammer was as handsome as always. Now, I have to go watch the RBG documentary.

Have you watched any of these?
