The Weekly Recap (55): A Short Trip To Seattle

Monday, October 7, 2019

Hi everyone!

I hope you all had a fantastic week. My weekly recap post is a week late as I just got back from Seattle in the early hours of Sunday. I had a ton of fun in Seattle. We went for a women's conference in statistics and it was my first time going. I didn't know quite what to expect, but it was very inspiring. There were so many fantastic speakers and seeing a conference dominated by women of all kinds backgrounds was just amazing. Women are such damn powerhouses! We also went to sightsee in Seattle one of the days. The weather was lovely and cool and Seattle has some AMAZING food! I also got to meet up with a blogging friend, Wendy at Book Scents, for dinner and I was very happy to meet her. I'm a little sad that the conference is over, but it's certainly one I intend to attend again next year! At the same time, I'm glad not to be eating out anymore. I came home yesterday and made myself some lunch and it was very comforting.

Here are my reading updates for the past week:
Week In Reading

Wrapped Up in You (Heartbreaker Bay, #8) Get a Life, Chloe Brown

I was busy with the conference so I only got to read Wrapped Up In You before I left. I've really enjoyed this series, but the last few books have been pretty mediocre for me. Wrapped Up In You didn't click fully with me and there was barely anything Christmassy in it! I did start reading Chloe Brown on my return flight and I'm enjoying it a lot!
