The Weekly Recap (52): Busy As A Bee, But My Dad Is Back!

Sunday, September 8, 2019

Hi friends!

I hope you're all doing well. My week was pretty good. I was busy with work for the most part. We are gearing up for a big meeting the week after, so we're in data prep mode. I will be missing the meeting since I'll be traveling back so I feel extra pressured to deliver all that needs to be done even though everyone has been super patient with me. We also have a long weekend here because Pope Francis is visiting on Monday, so I knew I needed to get most of everything done. I'm 80% there but still have some tasks to complete and I'm sure things will pop up last minute.

In better news, my dad is back! He flew back on Thursday and my mom is very happy that he is back home. This is the first time in their 28 years of marriage that they have been separated for more than 1 week, so it was weird for my mother. My dad brought back tons of local snacks that my mom and I are now devouring. :)

This coming week is my last week at home before I fly back next Monday. I'm sad that my time at home and my mini vacation is ending, so I'll be sucking in all the quality time with my folks and friends.

Here are my reading updates for the week:
Week In Reading

Getting Schooled (The Wright Brothers, #1) A Madness of Sunshine The Lady Rogue Tiny House, Big Love (Love Unscripted Book 2)

It was a good reading week. I enjoyed all of these. Getting Schooled had me laughing my butt off. A Madness of Sunshine was atmospheric, and so clever. I loved Nalini Singh's venture into the thriller genre and I hope to see more from her. Lady Rogue was also a whole lot of adventurous fun and Tiny House, Big Love was just the loveliest and cutest romance novella.
