Nick Recommends (2) : Single Parents In Romance Novels

Happy Thursday, friends!

I hope you're all doing well! In today's Nick Recommends post, I will be sharing a list of romance novels featuring single parents. I used to not like the trope in the past, but I've come to appreciate it. I especially love it when the kids in the book add something to the book and they act their ages! I do not care for books where the kids create the misunderstanding that prevents the couple from getting together or when they are too precocious. All of the books featured in this book get the Nick seal of kids of approval. :)

Tessa Ever After (Reluctant Hearts, #2)  Sustained (The Legal Briefs, #2) Stay (WAGs, #2) Dirty Talk (Mechanics of Love, #2)

Tessa Ever After by Brighton Walsh
My favorite book from Brighton Walsh! A playboy suddenly finds himself helping out his best friend's little sister and her adorable little daughter. Jason has no idea just how hard he is about to fall for both of them!

Sustained by Emma Chase
Emma Chase's best book to date. Sexy, smart, and ruthless lawyer Jake's life turns upside down when Chelsea and her brood of orphaned nephews and nieces barge into his life. There are plenty of laugh out loud and tender moments!

Stay by Sarina Bowen & Elle Kennedy
A big, sexy hockey player who is at the mercy of his twin daughters finds a new lady love. This hero will have your heart and ovaries aflutter!

Dirty Talk by Megan Erickson
Oh this one sure is a swoony story that will have everyone melting as a sexy and devoted mechanic slowly finds himself opening up to the heroine and her young daughter, who is afraid of men. The patience of the hero with the little girl is everything!

Last First Kiss (Brightwater, #1) Wrong to Need You (Forbidden Hearts, #2) Smooth Talking Stranger (Travises, #3) The Governess Game (Girl Meets Duke, #2)

Last First Kiss by Lia Riley
A messy divorce forces a mommy blogger and her son to move back to her hometown, where she rekindles her love with an ex. A very sweet and lovely story!

Wrong to Need You by Alisha Rai
My favorite book from Alisha Rai. A young widowed mother and her brother-in-law find themselves fighting off an attraction to each other. This one was simmering with tension and chemistry!

Smooth Talking Stranger by Lisa Kleypas
Heroine suddenly finds herself a new mom when her sister leaves her baby with her as she deals with her mental health. In an attempt to figure out who the secretive baby daddy is, the heroine finds herself on the doorstep of one of Austin's richest man, Jack Travis. This smooth talking stranger and the absolutely precious baby finnagel their way into her life and her heart. The swoony moments in this book are to die for!

The Governess Game by Tessa Dare
A libertine needs a governess to tame his wild eccentric little wards when he hires the heroine. This book features morbid doll funerals, lots of banter, and a deliciously swoony romance.

From Heiress to Mum Fumbled (Playbook, #2) Devil's Daughter (The Ravenels, #5) Kindling the Moon (Arcadia Bell, #1)

From Heiress To Mum by Therese Beharrie
Knucklehead hero suddenly finds out that he is a father to a newborn, so what does he do? Show up on the doorstep of his best friend/ex-love begging for help, of course! Over the course of the book, he learns to love and care for his son, and reconnect with his meant-to-be. A beautiful and authentic story!

Fumbled by Alexa Martin
At 16, the heroine finds herself pregnant and single. Fast forward a few years later, she is leading a decent life, caring for her adorable son when the baby daddy suddenly pops back in her life. He wants her back, but he has no idea that Poppy's son is his. How will he react?

Devil's Daughter by Lisa Kleypas
Widowed single mother of two cute boys, Phoebe, knows she wants nothing to do with her late husband's childhood bully. The man she meets, however, is nothing like the rude boy that she knew of from her husband's stories. An irresistible slow-burn romance ensues when West helps Phoebe out with managing her estate. The kids in the book are adorable scene-stealers!

The Arcadia Bell series by Jenn Bennett
A fun urban fantasy series from Jenn Bennett. Cady, the heroine, not only finds a sexy and respectful partner in Lon, but she gains a new highly energetic and absolutely lovable young friend in Lon's son, Jupe. Their bond is one of the best parts of this incredible series!

Untouchable (Ravenswood #2) His Perfect Partner (Matched to Perfection #1) Madly (New York, #2) Teach Me (There's Something About Marysburg, #1)

Untouchable by Talia Hibbert
You will love this story of a slightly chaotic, but lovely heroine who becomes a nanny for her childhood crush's children. The children are a hoot, and the romance is sensuous, slow, and has a forbidden love vibe to it.

His Perfect Partner by Priscilla Oliveras
The heroine meets a single father and his daughter through the dance class she teaches. The chemistry is undeniable and a sweet relationship grows between them. The hero's devotion to his daughter will leave you sighing in happiness.

 Madly by Ruthie Knox
An opposites-attract & an age-gap romance between a divorced father and a small-town girl. In true Ruthie Knox style, this book has a toe-curling slow-burn romance that hits all the right notes.

Teach Me by Olivia Dade
My first introduction to the amazing Olivia Dade about an ice-queen teacher who finds herself slowly charmed by the cinnamon-roll hero is hired to take over her favorite world-history class. Rose & Martin are both incredible characters, but it's Martin's relationship with his teenage daughter that is the cherry on the cake.
