The Weekly Recap (48): Back To Work!

Hi everyone!

I hope you are all doing well and that you've all had excellent weeks! My week was decent. I'm slowly getting over that jet-lag. I've been forcing myself to go to bed later than usual so I can actually sleep through the night instead of waking up in the middle of the night. So far, it's working but I'm still not sleeping 8 hours through the night which is what my body usually needs to stay awake. I've been napping here and there, but that's going to get harder since I started work again on Thursday. I can't believe my vacation time is over, but at least I still get to work remotely from home. It's been fun getting back to work too.

Other than that, I have not been doing much. I've been watching some Netflix. I finished watching the first season of The Big Family Cooking Showdown. It was so wholesome. I love how pure and calm British cooking competitions are. I'm also excited that Cable Girls is back for a fourth season, so I'm going to be watching that soon.

Here are my reading updates for the week:
Week In Reading

The Chai Factor Aurora Blazing (Consortium Rebellion, #2) Empire of Sand (The Books of Ambha, #1) The Upside of Falling

Really enjoyed all four of these books. The Chai Factor was so so good for me. I could not stop reading it. As expected, Aurora Blazing was action-packed and romantic, I loved it. Some folks were chatting about Empire of Sand on Twitter and I saw it was on sale on Kindle, so I immediately snagged it up and devoured it. It was brilliant - I adored the main character. Then, I don't know what possessed me to read a 2020 book, but I thought The Upside of Falling was so cute, so I needed to read it immediately. It was super adorable!
