I've had mixed luck with Christina Lauren's past couple of books, but I wanted to try The Unhoneymooners because I loved the sound of the set-up and I'm not one who can resist a good hate-to-love romance. The Unhoneymooners was super cute and charming! It's the kind of book that left me smiling long after I finished the last page.

THE BRIDE TEST

Genres: Contemporary, Romance, Adult
Publisher: Berkley Romance
Publication Date: May 7th 2019
Source: ARC received for review
Star Quotient: ★★★★★
Kiss Factor: ✷✷✷✷✷

As of today, I am re-naming Helen Hoang to heart-ripper because that is exactly what she does to me with her books. She rips my heart out and gives me all the feels and then makes me hug her books for 10 solid minutes. I knew after the brilliance that was The Kiss Quotient that the romance world was about to be blessed with an incredibly talented author (umm hello, this blog's name is inspired by this book!), and The Bride Test just further backs that gut instinct. This book was lovely in every way and I can't wait to re-read it over and over again.

Genres: Contemporary, Romance, Adult
Publisher: Avon
Publication Date: April 30th 2019

This series truly is exceptional. Alyssa Cole has just outdone herself with every release - even the novellas are outstanding. I would have been really upset had A Prince on Paper been the last book, but thankfully, we fans are going to be blessed with a spin-off series. While A Duke by Default remains my favorite book in this series, A Prince on Paper was an excellent addition.

While I don't think these short novellas from Katee Robert are her best works, I've been having fun reading these stories. They are quick, sexy, and are well-written. What more could I ask for? Make Me Yours tells the story of Aaron and Becka. The two meet at Becka's sister's wedding and share a passionate night together. Three months later, Becka shows up on his doorstep announcing her pregnancy. Aaron, being the alpha male that he is, sweeps into her life as he is all in. He wants this baby and he wants Becka and leaves no stone unturned in trying to prove that. Becka though is a little hesitant. She's not used to this sort of attention and she makes the guy truly work by constantly pushing him away. I understood where she was coming from but I thought she was a bit too harsh on him. It was still very sweet of Aaron to not give up though. He was very invested in their happily ever after. The chemistry between the two was smoking. As always, Katee knows how to bring the steam to her books and she's a total pro at it. All in all, Make Me Yours was a quick and steamy read and if you're ever in the mood for a quick introduction to Katee's books, I definitely recommend these short stories.
