New Orleans Rush was a different read for me. I was drawn to it as it sounded like it was something new from Kelly Siskind. Plus, who can resist a New Orleans setting? I had a good time reading this book overall. There were moments that I thought were a bit slow, but it was an enjoyable read overall.

Umm. This book was quite something. I haven't read anything from this author before but I had heard such good things from other reviewers. I was excited to try The Girl He Used to Know since it features a second chance romance and an autistic heroine. It started off on a decent note.

The Austen Playbook was my most anticipated spring read. I love Lucy Parker and her books - I re-read them ALL the time. The Austen Playbook also happens to feature her perky heroine and a grumpy hero, so I knew this one was going to be spectacular. Lucy Parker never disappoints and The Austen Playbook was just as brilliant as I expected it to be.

I would be a liar if I told you that I didn't know going into When We Left Cuba that it would be a book that I would love with all my heart. Last year, Chanel Cleeton completely won me over with her historical debut, Next Year in Havana. It was poignant, romantic and so interesting. When We Left Cuba was just as enthralling of a read. I loved it so much - it is easily one of my favorite books of 2019.

A Girl Like Her was my first read from Talia Hibbert, which is surprising since I've heard nothing but praise for her books in the romance community. Better late than never though, right?

I've been stalking The Takeover Effect pretty much since it was announced. A romance novel about brown/desi people falling in love? Heck yeah, I was all over that. It's safe to say that I was hyped for The Takeover Effect and oh my goodness, did it deliver or what! It was fierce, sexy, and just one of the most romantic books I have ever read.
