Hello! I have died from the adorbs and I'm writing this review from the other side. It's no secret that I love the Reluctant Royals series to pieces, so much so, that I'm actually willing to read novellas from her. Can't Escape Love is one of the best novellas I have ever read. It was fun, sweet, and cheered me up from start to finish. If you've read this series then you already know the heroine, Reggie. I loved getting to know Reggie. I already knew she was going to be an awesome heroine, but she just completely blew me away. I'm sure you've already noticed from the cover, but Reggie is wheel-chair bound. She doesn't let that stop her from anything, however. She embraces her disability, runs an epic and successful business, and she's an all-around great woman. I loved getting to know her on a deeper level in Can't Escape Love. Reggie also suffers from insomnia and the one thing that helps her relax is Gus' relaxing voice. Circumstances lead Gus and Reggie to work together on his anime-based escape room. The two forge a friendship together that slowly develops into more. I really liked Gus' character too. He had me smiling at his geekiness and swooning at what a great guy he was. Reggie and Gus worked brilliantly as a pair. Alyssa Cole builds their connection so beautifully. I could see these two falling in love with each other right in front of my eyes. If you haven't read the Reluctant Royals series yet, you must change that ASAP. It truly is an exceptional romantic series! I'm so excited that Alyssa Cole is not done with this series and universe she's created. My body is totally ready for more!
Have you read either of these authors? What are some of your favorite novellas?

American Dreamer was not on my radar until I came across it on NetGalley. I'm so glad I requested it because I've found a new author whose writing I really enjoy. American Dreamer was such a satisfying romantic read in every sense of the word.

My friend, Rashika, got me invested in the Rockton books last year. It didn't take much convincing from her as I had previously read and enjoyed a few of Armstrong's YA novels. This series, however, is my absolute favorite. I don't quite know what it says about me, but there's is something so morbidly intriguing about murders in a small town. Rockton is even more fascinating given that it's a secret town that homes a lot of unpleasant characters, as well as victims of crimes. Armstrong is at her finest with these books because every detail is carefully thought out. I was a little wary going into this 4th book of the series. How much longer can the author keep my interest in these books I wondered, but I had nothing to worry about. It's so interesting to me how diverse in personalities the characters in this book are. I continue to love and root for my power couple, Casey and Eric. They are very comfortable around each other now and you would think that it would make it boring for readers, but far from it. It's actually quite nice reading about a couple who are so open and trustworthy of each other. We also get to meet some newer characters here, including Casey's sister and Sebastian, who was quite possibly my newest favorite. Then, there was the actual mystery. For a small secretive town, Rockton sure was full of activity, which includes murder and more secrets than Casey can handle. Armstrong handled it all like a pro, of course, keeping me engaged all throughout. I especially love that she continues to maintain the eerie atmosphere of Rockton so brilliantly. As with the previous books, Watcher in the Woods ends with a bang, wrapping up the main storylines, while also leaving some open for exploration in future books. Watcher in the Woods was another excellent addition to this fantastic spooky series. I want more.

The Bad Bachelors series has been such a treat overall. I have to say though that this finale was easily one of my most anticipated books of 2019. I couldn't wait to find out more about the woman behind the Bad Bachelor app that was wreaking havoc in NYC and all about the man who broke her heart. Bad Influence delivered a strong romantic story that I am most definitely going to be revisiting in the future.
