Alyssa Cole has been nailing it with this series. All of the books have been charming beyond words and this sweet little novella was no different. It's a second chance romance that made my heart soar! I already knew and adored Likotsi from the first book, but I grew to love her even more here. I don't quite know how Ms. Cole did it, but she managed to create fully fleshed-out characters in this short novella. That's a sign of an excellent author. Likotsi was a smart, confident and beautiful woman who also had a fair share of vulnerabilities. Fabiola was more of a free-spirit, but she too was bold and beautiful. These two meet on a dating app and click it right off, but Fabiola ends up breaking the relationship because of some personal matters. Likotsi is devastated, but she decides to move on, until she happens upon Fabiola a few months later. The two reconnect and attempt to repair the relationship to move forward. Their relationship was sweet and heartwarming, and oh my gosh, so precious! I loved how despite this being just a short novella, I was still hit with all the feels when it came to these two. Once Ghosted, Twice Shy really was a wholesome story. I could have read an entire novel and more about these two and not have been bored! If you're a fan of Alyssa Cole's Reluctant Royals, this treat of a story should definitely be on your TBRs and if you haven't started this series, then what are you waiting for?

How on earth is this only my first read from Sulekha Snyder? I saw the book around on Twitter and decided to give it a try and wound up devouring it! By the end of it, I was sad because I wanted to spend more time with these characters. It's impressive how well-developed Pinky and Trucker were. One of the reasons I'm hesitant about reading novellas is that I never am fully satisfied. Here, I didn't feel that way once because Suleikha Snyder ensures that these characters were vibrant. Pinky came back home from graduate school to help her parents out at their Indian restaurant after her mom was diagnosed with cancer, and even though her mother was in remission, she found herself still in her hometown, in a bit of a slump. Pinky was witty, funny and delightful. Trucker belongs to a motorcycle club that has been terrorizing the town. The members seem to have an affinity for Indian food, so they leave Pinky and her family alone. Trucker may at first glance seem like he was a bad boy, but he was the furthest thing from a bad boy. I won't reveal all, but Trucker was the definition of a cinnamon roll hero. He was actually the most precious and I was here for him and his sexy good boy ways! ;) The romance occurs fairly swiftly given the short length, but I actually had zero problems with it. The chemistry between Pinky and Trucker was palpable and the tension just kept me glued to the pages. Tikka Chance On Me is the perfect read if you're looking for a playful, steamy and quick romance book to pass the time!
