I read this series out of order - His Perfect Partner was the second book I read and to this date, I think this is my favorite of the series. Don't get me wrong, all of the books are just the most charming, but the couple in His Perfect Partner just about melted me with their cuteness.

Priscilla Oliveras writes such lovely and beautifully fleshed-out characters. You can tell that she takes her time with her characterizations because the feelings and emotions of the characters touch you from the beginning. Yaz was just all-around wonderful and her character arc throughout the book was beautifully paced. She was a dance teacher with aspirations beyond teaching. Unfortunately, she was grappling with a family illness that wouldn't allow her to chase after her dreams. Yaz was a sweetheart and her struggles and journey towards overcoming those struggles were realistically written. You will find yourself rooting for her and for her passion. Similarly, I adored Tomas. A single father who is entirely focused on giving his daughter, Maria, the best life he could, Tomas just stole my heart. He was an equally wonderful hero who was kind, gentle and patient. His devotion to his daughter just about destroyed me because it was so heartwarming to see. In his goal into giving Maria the best life he could though, he has become a bit of a workaholic. It was just so obvious though that his intentions were the purest.

Yaz and Tomas strike up an unlikely friendship that we as readers know will only blossom further. They made for a complementary couple that just clicked well together personality-wise. They talk, share laughter, and find small ways to push each other to overcome some of their struggles. You won't find explicit sex scenes in this book, but that does not mean the romance is lacking in chemistry. Family was also a strong theme throughout His Perfect Partner, and I just loved that! Yaz has a strong bond with her sisters, who were such colorful personalities, and her father. There were moments of sadness and happiness, but everything was beautiful! I would be remiss not to mention how wonderfully diverse this book was. We get to see a Peurto Rican family in their full glory here and Priscilla Oliveras does not hold back in any way.

All in all, this was a beautiful debut, with a beautiful couple, and it only left me eager to read more from Priscilla Oliveras. I definitely recommend this one to all of you romance love-birds.

HIS PERFECT AFFAIR

His Perfect Affair was actually the first book I read from Priscilla Oliveras and it was while reading this book that I realized that I most definitely needed to go back and read the first just because I needed more of the Fernandez sisters. I know the heroine in His Perfect Affair did not work for everyone, but being a lover of flawed heroines, I didn't have as much of a big issue with her.

This book tells the story of Rosa Fernandes, who has a one-night stand with a good friend and winds up being pregnant. A good girl to the bone, Rosa was the sort of character who was responsible and spent much of her life not doing anything reckless. So, this one-night stand was completely out of character for her. Though her career as a librarian at a conservative Catholic school may be in jeopardy if the board found out about her out-of-wedlock pregnancy, she refused to marry Jeremy out of obligation. Instead, she kept her pregnancy from her beloved sisters and suggests co-parenting to Jeremy. It was obvious where Rosa's feelings were coming from in His Perfect Affair. As a reader, you want to shake her by the shoulders so that she sees the obvious good thing in front of her, but part of me also admired that she didn't want to force Jeremy in any way. She remained very staunch throughout the book when it came to her decision despite Jeremy's constant wooing and I'll admit that her bullheadedness could be just a bit frustrating. As you would expect, she did eventually give in to her attractions to him, but the road to getting there was not an easy one. Jeremy was such a star. He was just the most patient guy ever. He was a genuinely good guy and went to lengths to show Rosa that he was just the perfect guy for her. It's been months since I've read this book, but I still want to swoon thinking of Jeremy and all of his amazingness.

As you may have guessed, the romance was not always the easiest, but I never stopped rooting for them to find their happily-ever-after. I think Jeremy worked hard to get there and prove that he was genuinely in love with Rosa. As with His Perfect Partner, family was a strong element in His Perfect Affair. I love the Fernandes sisters and how close they are with each other. These sisters were willing to do anything for each other and that just melted my heart! I loved how we got to see so much of the Peurto Rican traditions and culture in this book.

As with the first book, His Perfect Affair is another romantic read I recommend if you are looking for something with strong elements of family.

THEIR PERFECT MELODY

Their Perfect Melody was just the perfect way to end this sweet trilogy. I've had a lot of luck with these books and with Priscilla Oliveras' writing and I can't wait to see what else she writes in the future. I just know I'll be first in line to grab whatever she publishes.

In Their Perfect Melody, we get Lili's story, who happens to be the youngest Fernandes sister. I loved the glimpses that we saw of Lili in the previous book, so I was happy to see her shine. As with her sisters, she was a strong independent young woman with a heart of gold. She had devoted much of her career to helping women in need. Lili was brave and kind, and just the perfect heroine for this book. When her latest case brings her in the face of danger, she meets Diego, a police officer. Diego was a protective hero who was dealing with his own issues with his sister. Besides being a cop, he was passionate about music and was a talented guitar player. When they first meet, they butt heads, but over the course of the book, they develop a companionship that developed into more.

Their romance was really sweet. I especially loved how they bonded over their shared love of music and their passion for doing community work for those in need. Their relationship was incredibly satisfying to a romance lover like me. Once again, family was a huge part of the book. Both Diego and Lili were close to their families and how both their families placed such important roles in their lives. It was great to see the previous couples as well as their bonds with the characters.

I can't recommend the Matched to Perfection series enough. They have a lot of great things going on for them, and this last book was just delightful!
