The Weekly Recap (14): Cleaning Up My Goodreads Shelves

Saturday, August 25, 2018

Hi everyone!

I hope you all are doing well! This was another very uneventful week for me. I did get some shopping done last weekend in preparation for my departure in a few weeks. My mom helped me get some kitchen items from here so I don't have to waste time and money at Target when I head back. Everyone knows that Target has the weird ability to make us spend ALLLLLL our money so I'd rather stay away!

I was inspired by Becky's post to clean up and organize my shelves on Goodreads. I had a bunch of shelves that were pretty useless with sassy labels and I got rid of them all because it's too hard to maintain. I also went through my "to-read" shelf and cleaned it up and got rid of a bunch of books that I know for a fact I won't be reading. My "to-read" shelf only has 132 books now, which is much more manageable than 400! Thanks to Becky for the idea! :)

Other than that, my week was mostly spent eating, napping and reading (with some exercising squeezed in between)!

Let's get to the reading updates!
Week In Reading
An Earl Like You (The Wagers of Sin, #2) Summer Bird Blue Don't Touch My Petunia (The Holloway Girls, #2) Magic Strikes (Kate Daniels, #3) Shadow of The Fox (Shadow of the Fox, #1) Then There Was You (Angel Falls, #1) For the Duke's Eyes Only (School for Dukes, #2) Diamond Fire (Hidden Legacy, #3.5)

I've had a FABULOUS reading week. I enjoyed all of these reads and was a very happy reader the whole time. An Earl Like You was so lovely - I adored the main character, Eliza. Summer Bird Blue has made Akemi Dawn Bowman a solid favorite YA author of mine. After loving Don't Call Me Cupcake, I was eager for Don't Touch My Petunia and it delivered! It was a sweet and charming love story. I'm also slowly progressing through my Kate Daniels binge-read. My re-read of book 3 was just perfect! I got to read what is, in my opinion, the best YA of 2018, Shadow of the Fox, and I was in love. I highly recommend this one, friends. I was then in the mood for a cute small-town romance and Then There Was You was just the right book for that. Lenora Bell's For the Duke's Eyes Only was amazing and is my favorite read from the author. I finished off the week with Diamond Fire, the latest novella in Illona Andrews' Hidden Legacy series. I can't wait to read more of Catalina's story!
