After just three books from Lucy Parker, I am ready to sell my soul to her. There's something so special about her stories that make them not only readable but also re-readable. No joke, but I've re-read Making Up three times this year already. #noregrets Making Up still had the quintessential Lucy Parker elements to the story, but I thought Leo and Trix's story stood out on its own.

Most of you already know what a big fan of Lauren Layne I am. I'm always excited to dive into a story by her. I was even more hyped for 21 Wall Street because she goes back to write about her in-suit heroes in NYC. As a first book, Hot Asset delivered in many ways. Though not my favorite read from Lauren Layne, it was a solid addition to my LL library.

Sandhya Menon's debut, When Dimple Met Rishi, was a book I loved with every fiber of my being last year. I couldn't wait to get my hands on From Twinkle, With Love. The minute I had the book in my hands, I jumped to read it. As with When Dimple Met Rishi, this book epitomized everything I adore in a feel-good rom-com, that was also a story about growing up.

HOOKED ON YOU

by Kate Meader
Series: Chicago Rebels #4
Genres: Contemporary, Romance, Adult
Publisher: Pocket Books
Publication Date: May 29th 2018

Star Quotient: ★★★★
Kiss Factor: ✷✷✷✷1/2

I am so in love with this series. Kate Meader has truly outdone herself with the Chicago Rebels series. I love that I can always count on her to deliver a wildly romantic and steamy story with a whole lot of heart. Hooked on You was no different.

I think out of all the books, this one was my most anticipated. No, it wasn't just because of Bren's single dad status. We got to see the tension between Violet and Bren simmer over the last couple of books and it has been glorious. Here they finally get their story and boy was it absolutely worth it. I knew going into the book that I was going to love both Violet and Bren as characters, but I was still surprised by how much I became invested in them. Violet, especially, was my girl. This spunky, tattooed Latina was so much more than the no-care-given attitude. Underneath it all, she was an exceptionally strong girl who had survived a horrible disease. I admired her so much for how she handled herself in the aftermath of her breast cancer diagnosis. Her illness didn't define her obviously, and we got to see all facets of her personality. She was a kind, smart and loving young who I adored getting to know.

ROYALS

Star Quotient: ★★★★
Kiss Factor: ✷✷✷1/2

Well, wasn't this an absolute blast to read? I may not be the biggest fan of books about royalty in contemporary settings, but I am a big Rachel Hawkins fan. With her signature wit and a whole lot of royalty shenanigans, Royals was just pure fun to read.

Daisy Winters is a regular American teenager who really wants nothing to do with the spotlight her sister, Ellie, is in the midst of. You see, Ellie is engaged to be married to the Crown Prince of Scotland, so her every move is scrutinized. All of a sudden, Daisy is whisked off to Scotland and is forced to deal with arrogant bluebloods and their extra af lifestyles. Daisy was the perfect heroine for Royals. She's smart, hilarious and so witty! Girlfriend had me cracking up throughout the book with how sassy she could be. Her relationship with her parents, especially her dad, had me grinning like a fool! The best part of Royals for me was Daisy's relationship with her sister. With the constant attention Ellie has gotten thanks to her newly engaged status, their relationship was a little frayed. But underneath it, all was a deep loyalty between the two. I loved the subtle glimpses we had to the adoration between the two. Their bond was certainly the driving force of Royals.
